🌱 ROOTS Reflection — Colossians 2:7
Key Verse: Isaiah 6:8 (NLT) "Here I am. Send me."
R — Read As you read Isaiah 1–6 which verse drew your attention? Notice moments of prayer, repentance, listening or obedience. What scene or verse draws your attention?
O — Observe Who is listening to God in this passage and who is not? What characteristics reflect God and what does not? As you sit with the verse where does your imagination go? Why do you sense a connection to God through this verse?
O — Overflow of Thankfulness Thank God for the ways He speaks and moves — even quietly and over time — through this verse.
T — Trust Where might God be inviting you to trust Him rather than control the outcome in this verse?
S — Silence / Share / Surrender There is no wrong response here. Would this verse remain between you and God in prayer? Or might He be prompting you to share it with someone — in joy or in difficulty — as encouragement or confirmation? Or is He asking you to surrender something completely to Him?
💡A little tip:
Before you open your Bible and begin your ROOTS reflection - pray first. Ask God to quiet your mind, open your heart and speak to you through His Word. You may be surprised at what He has to say!! The Holy Spirit is your greatest Bible study companion and He is faithful to meet you right where you are. Don't rush. Don't perform. Just come as you are and let Him lead. Even journal it and let His Word speak to your prayer. - Amy
"But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative — that is, the Holy Spirit — he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." — John 14:26 (NLT) 🌿✝️
